Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 - White/Blue
The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Men's Trainers are ultimate classics. The 66 is proof that true icons never die.
Introduced in 1966, the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 trainers were the first ever shoes to feature the now-famous Tiger Stripes. They were worn at the Mexico Olympic Games in 1968.
This classic Mexico 66 has a white leather upper with trademark ASICS/Onitsuka stripes in blue and red. The 'Tiger' logo features in blue on a white heel tab. It has an off-white suede toe protector and slim light clay coloured synthetic sole. This shoe is an ultimate retro classic in an all time great colourway.
In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka founded Onitsuka Tiger, the forerunner of ASICS today. Mr. Onitsuka passionately believed that sport not only reinforced the physical health, it also taught young people to observe rules, discipline and manners. Since Onitsuka Tiger began back in 1949, it has gone on to become an iconic, global 'sports-fashion brand with a unique Japanese sports heritage.
Today Onitsuka Tiger represents the forward-looking face of modern, metropolitan Japan.
