Mizuno Wave Paradox - Turbulence/ Black/ Spectra Yellow

For maximum pronation support, the Mizuno Wave Paradox replaces the Alchemy in a fresh design that belies its weight, hence the name Paradox. At just 320g, the Wave Paradox is set to become the lightest in its class and features a full-length composite Double Fan Wave to control overpronation, combined with new midsole geometry to give an ultra-supportive and smooth ride.

The Paradox’s Japanese-inspired upper design utilises a traditional Japanese drawing technique, which also makes it one of the more unique running shoes on the market.

Mizuno’s Wave is the industry’s most effective midsole technology - its unique shape dissipates impact forces away from the foot for a smoother, more cushioned feel on every step.

The Wave Paradox features a Dynamotion Fit system, which uses the latest motion capture and biomechanics technology. Mizuno has developed a design blueprint to engineer shoes that work with the gait cycle. SmoothRide also creates a unique approach to the sole of the shoe, which is designed to create a smooth, rocking-chair-like transition from heel to toe on every step.

The Wave Paradox also utilises Mizuno’s new SR Touch, a new advanced cushioning material that is lighter and absorbs shock with its fast rebound properties, keeping the transition smooth and fast. Its ap+ midsole offers increased rebound and a "bouncier" feeling, which extends the cushion durability, while maintaining the light weight performance.

Also featured in the Wave Paradox is Mizuno’s Intercool and AirMesh technologies, which give superior breathability and ventilation, keeping the foot cool and dry at all times. Mizuno Intercool solves the problem of heat and humidity build-up in a running shoe, by incorporating a full-length ventilation system in the sole of the shoe that removes heat and humidity from the foot through a system of ventilation channe

Mizuno

With a history stretching back to 1906, Mizuno started out making baseball uniforms, but their move into running has resulted in some of the most popular and most revered shoes around. They’re built on their five brand values: Trustworthy, Innovative, Performance, Inspiring, Passionate.

The flagship Wave Rider has more than a quarter of a century of tweaks, innovations, and improvements behind it, and that word Wave is one you’ll come across often in the Mizuno catalogue.

A Pebax material with crests and troughs like ripples on the ocean, Wave technology can flex toe to heel but provides stability laterally. Compressing to absorb impact, it proceeds to transfer energy back through the stride for a unique sensation that deserves to be experienced by every runner.
