What is the trial offering?
We are offering 30 days from your order being delivered for you to trial your HOKA shoes during your day-to-day exercise before deciding if you want to keep or return. In this timeframe you can either return for a refund OR exchange for an alternative size.
This trial is being offered to UK customers only.
We request that the original packaging is kept and if the product is returned within the trial period, this packaging is used to return the goods. Please be sure to add details of why the shoe is being returned onto the returns leaflet sent with your order.

This trial is expected to run throughout the month of October 2022. We reserve the right to end this trial before the expected end day.
Hoka Bondi X
The Hoka Bondi X is a maximally cushioned road shoe, spring loaded with a propulsive carbon fibre plate to give you a soft, balanced ride with extra efficiency. Stiffer and more energy efficient than the Bondi, it non the less maintains a softer and more cushioned feel than the Carbon X2, which is more performance orientated than the comfort/performance build of the Bondi X. The geometry has been fine-tuned, with an extended rocker for greater acceleration, and the same early-stage rocker as the original Bondi for a smooth ride. The mesh upper uses 3D hotmelt yarns to combine maximum breathability and durability, with minimal weight. With an efficient transition, smooth toe off and a comfortable ride the Bondi X let’s all athletes feel the advantage of carbon fibre plates, not just the elite.
Start with a supremely cushioned midsole, offering marshmallow softness, shock absorption, comfort, and support at varying levels across the range. Then apply the Meta-Rocker. Designed to drive runners forward, this shaped underfoot geometry complements the natural gait cycle – by curving the shoe at the toe and heel, it ensures a smooth transition from impact to toe off. Lastly, the Active Foot Frame functions like a bucket seat in a car, cradling the heel and offering a secure feel across the foot.
The first thing you notice picking up a HOKA is how light they feel: despite the deep cushioned midsole, they have an almost weightless build. Combine that featherlight feel with the propulsive foam and forward geometry, and you get a sensation of pure speed. As HOKA would say, “Time to Fly”.
They create the firmer feel that fast racers are looking for and help to guide the foot through your stride, providing a touch of extra support. They can also help create a rocker feel, with the stiffness allowing the shoe to pivot – as the toe goes down, the heel must come up, easing you into your next stride.
Although stiff, they do flex, providing an energised pop of forward momentum as the plate fights to retain its shape.
Each brand, and almost every shoe, uses a plate differently. Different shapes, thicknesses, and designs are used to prioritise a different aspect of performance. Some aim exclusively to guide the stride, while others focus solely on propulsion.
