NIKE FLYKNIT LUNAR1+

The Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ Mens Running Shoe was designed based on insights from the world's best marathon runners and features a virtually seamless knit upper for targeted support, breathability and a snug fit.

The lightweight, breathable, one-piece knit upper moves with the foot, seamlessly integrating areas of high support and stretch where you need them most. The knit process reduces the need for overlays and significantly reduces weight. Flywire threads incorporated within the knitted upper wrap the midfoot for lockdown support and are adjustable through the laces for enhanced support and an adaptive fit.

The cushioning in the Flyknit Lunar1+ is provided by dynamic, two-tone Lunarlon foam and gives a different look and feel to previous Flyknit versions, which relied upon Nike Zoom units in the forefoot and heel, encased in a full-length, compression-moulded Phylon midsole. Consequently, the Lunar1+ has also moved away from the more traditional waffle outsole in favour of one similar to the Lunarglide.

Providing increased friction when required, the speed control texture wraps around the upper of these Mercurial football boots giving you the confidence to perform on the pitch at speed without compromising on the soft touch you need. Nike All Conditions Control (ACC) Technology further enhances the performance of the Vapor IX ensuring a consistent touch in wet or dry conditions.

Nike Flyknit technology was inspired by feedback from runners craving a shoe with the snug (and virtually unnoticed) fit of a sock. Nike embarked on a four-year mission with teams of programmers, engineers and designers to create the technology needed to make the knit upper with static properties for structure and durability. Then the precise placement of support, flexibility and breathability—all in one layer—was refined. The result is a featherweight, form-fitting and virtually seamless upper.
