Since I took up running 5 years ago, my life has changed immensely. I am fit and healthy, have dropped 4 dress sizes, have a great zest for life, have started my own personal training business and have 16 customers. I have also raised over £30,000 for charity!
The most common comment from a new customer is “I hated running at school”. I find it hugely rewarding when these people start running. Running and healthy balanced diet is an effective way to get in shape and lose weight fast. Everyone builds up their own personal run,from job around the block to a marathon.
Its a great compliment to me that 7 customers signed up to the Leicester Full and half marathon.

My aim is to share my passion for running with others, to find a level enjoyable to them. If you are enjoying what your doing, you will still be doing it next year. If running isn't for you, brisk walking can achieve great results.
I read a report on walking which interestingly stated that dieters who walked 3 miles a day at a 15 minute mile past lost more fat than those at a 12 minute mile pace. Going slower in these speed ranges is more effective at burning fat, so slow and steady must never be discounted!

Running to me is not about competing, time or distance. It's about enjoying it, taking time out of a busy schedule and embracing life. My favourite run is on holiday, running along a beach, watching the sun rise when most people are still in bed...it's then that I appreciate being able to run and enjoy it.

Beginners should try and follow my 8 weeks to your first 5k plan and start to feel the benefits immediately. Stick to it. Don't give up!

Esther, my customer for 8 months came to me after having her first child.
She weighed 17st 5lbs,lacked self confidence and self esteem. We started with a gentle exercise program which combined healthy eating saw results almost immediately.She had her wedding date set and we had 8 months to achieve her goal. Esther's walks became jogs and after 6 months she felt confident enough to enter the glooston 10k.
2 days before her wedding she reached her goal weight of 11st 9lbs. She looks fantastic,has kept to her new weight and feels great.
