The Nike LunarSwift+ 2 running shoes are a great option if you’re a runner who’s looking for a daily distance trainer that provides runner-specific support, comfort, and cushioning (with a slightly firmer feel underfoot) in an affordable package. This second incarnation of the Nike Lunarswift+ was developed within Nike’s Innovation Kitchen and features a highly breathable Hypervoid upper that conforms to the foot for greater comfort.
The goal behind Hypervoid construction was to provide a uniquely personal fit without the need for expensive and typically less-breathable elastic materials. AHypervoid-based upper is comprised of a three thin materials, which is why it’s described as a composite construction. At the heart of the technology is a supportive material that’s modified with prominent perforations that improve breathability, but they also stretch and conform to the changing shape of the foot. Think of the difference between a sheet of paper and that same sheet with a row of slits cut along its surface—those slits free the material to stretch along multiple points.
The Lunarswift+ 2 also features Nike’s revolutionary Lunarlon cushioning that gives you a soft, bouncy ride in a super lightweight package. The Lunarswift is also equipped with the Dynamic Support system that kicks in to provide the stability you need.
