Asics Wmns Gel Kinsei 4 - Black/White/Pink
The lightest of the series yet, the GEL-KINSEI 4 is ASICS' flagship performance running shoe, featuring many ASICS advanced technologies. Among those technologies, the GEL-KINSEI 4 offers the serious runner more stability and better shock absorption in the heel area, while a new Personal Heel Fit system improves durability and comfort.
The shoe incorporates the I.G.S. (Impact Guidance system), a design philosophy in which the individual components of the shoe work together to produce a more comfortable step and an improved gait. In addition, the rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning system places a silicone-based material in critical areas of the sole to dampen shock, allowing for a smooth movement through the step and reducing the risk of injury.
The essential and clever Biomorphic Fit Upper incorporates stretchy material strategically placed on the upper, which reduces bunching when the shoes moves, reducing the risk of blisters and irritation. This works alongside the Assymetrical Lacing Design which follows the natural curve of the foot and Discrete Eyelets, where independently-placed eyelets ensure the laces pass through the upper which disburse lace tension, both of which improve fit and reduce potential for irritation.
Around the fragile heel area, much attention to detail has been paid. Asics have utilised the Heel Clutching System, a lightweight heel counter on the outside of the upper, which provides support and fitting around the heel. Together with the P.H.F. (Personal Heel Fit), which utilises the memory foam lining around the heel collar and tongue. Together with the Discrete Heel Unit, which incorporates dual density GEL cushioning to provide an improved level of shock absorption, the Gel Kinsei 4 ensures a superior fit around the ankle and provides that extra-essential support.
The Gel Kinsei 4 also features the Propulsion Trusstic System, a plastic bridge under the arch, which mimics the connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as the foot moves through each step. Complementing this technology is the Full-Length Guidance Line, a vertical flex groove in the sole running from heel to toe, which encourages a more efficient running style.
Nothing has been left to chance in the Gel Kinsei 4 - Asics know all too well that strength, support and stability mean nothing if comfort has been compromised. Incorporated in the shoe is Cuprothermo, a metallic film in the upper which retains heat in cold weather and releases heat in hot weather, and an X-40 ComforDry Sockliner insole which provides cushioning with anti-microbial properties keeping the foot drier and healthier.
